People Who Excel

I place great VALUE on truthfulness, faithfulness, character, commitment, punctuality, honor & respect.

These are foundational pillars I embrace & desire to model in my life.

I’m thankful for the people who have modeled these values before me. They prove that it is not only possible but practical.

PEOPLE WHO EXCEL...

• Do what they know is required

• Don’t look for loopholes

• Don’t make excuses

• Do more than expected

• Are intentional about fixing the weak areas of their life

• Give more than they take

• Take responsibility

Jesus said, “if you don’t believe in me, then simply believe because of my works.” In essence, He’s teaching us to LIVE what we SAY. We achieve greater influence when our WALK matches our TALK.

The Apostle Paul said, “I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.” (1 Corinthians 9:27)

Be blessed as you walk in TRUTH. Be strong in the faith & stay focused!

Post From Mark Casto

Check out this Facebook post from my friend, Mark Casto:

“I see a young man doing all that he can to promote what he believes God is doing through him.

Working hard on social media, texting friends, praying for open doors, and wanting to see more opportunities in 2019.

All the while you don’t understand that what you really desire is home.

There are some things that are simply reserved for those who will cease from their own labors and will instead root themselves in a home.

Rooted and established in a home is Yahweh’s intention. And when it’s time for you to do something great, a father in family dedicated to hosting Presence will send you. (Just look up Antioch Church in Acts!)

Once you know the true joys of home, you won’t just go and work hard for opportunities...you will be sent with wind on your back.

You can work for your destiny or you can inherit it. But inheritance requires you to be rooted and establish in a home.

Lord, call the sons and daughters home in 2019!” - Mark Casto

Friends,

There is much truth & experience in this. There is definitely a difference in being “sent” & “went.”

When you’ve been affirmed by a father, you cease seeking affirmation through performance. You become settled & satisfied wearing the garment of a son.

In fact, that garment becomes seamless. No rips, cuts or frays. Every move you make is seamless, blessable & a model of what true covering & covenant should be.

Every move my wife Beverly & I have made in ministry, whether georgraphic or even positional has had the DNA of of a father on it. We weren’t looking for it. We were content knowing we were “undercover” & giving our all in a settled peace & a seated place.

Every “move” has been blessable. We didn’t cause a mess for someone else...we didn’t pack up in the middle of the night, refuse to return phone calls, put our mouth or hand on our leader, use our influence or personality to draw people to us....none of that has ever happened. We’ve always had a BLESSING & because our exits have been blessed...our entrances have been too.

It is an amazing feeling to know you don’t have to steal “it”...you simply inherit it.

I carry “HOME” with me, everywhere I go. Whether I’m HERE or THERE, because I have been SENT. I’m wearing my father’s coat & his fragrance assures me I’m home. 😁

Pray For Growth In God

Pray for Growth in God – 1-8-19
Colossians 1:10 “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;”
“Walk” refers to one’s behavior & that it can be accomplished only by making the Cross the Object of one’s Faith, which gives the Holy Spirit the latitude to perfect our “walk”.
Fruitfulness will come if Faith is properly placed in the Cross.
Prayer:
"God, I need You more today than yesterday. I long to learn of Your “ways” so that my “walk” will be fruitful & pleasing in Your sight. Hear my heart Oh God. I cry out to You today – come & search me, try me & dig out anything in my heart that is unlike You. I want to grow."

Prayer Changes Us

PRAYER CHANGES US - 1-7-19
Psalms 25:4-5 "Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day."
  • God, I want to know Your ways, be taught Your paths and be led into Your truth.
  • Lord, unless You show me your ways, I cannot discern which direction to go.
  • If You don’t teach me, I cannot learn.
  • If You don’t lead me, I cannot walk.
  • Lord, I will wait on you, I will persevere in earnest prayer.
Beginning a fast is exciting & challenging at the same time. The sense of knowing that you’re pushing past the desires of the flesh & expanding the growth of your spirit man. Then there’s the challenge of cravings, habits & routines that must be mastered.

Dear Pastor

Dear Pastor...
• The real test of life is what you DO with the FAVOR you've been given! I've seen people squander their opportunities, simply by doing UNFAVORABLE things.
• Don't bail just because you're not seeing the results you thought you'd see by now! Most people fail because they lack being RESILIENT. If the favor does not come quick, they leave or give up & forfeit what could have been.
• See, when you can be consistent when nobody is looking, that's when FAVOR publicly promotes you!
• I've also discovered that if God can trust you to walk in His FAVOR when you're WOUNDED & even when you're serving something that isn't serving you...FAVOR will REPAIR you & ADVANCE you at the same time!
• Don't forfeit your FAVOR trying to get even with folks who have hurt you. 1) They can't stop the favor of God on your life. 2) God will take care of them...you just take care of you. 3) God saw what you went through & He trusted you like He did Joseph...by sending you ahead to make provisions for the very ones who tried to throw you in the pit! 4) You will experience accelerated blessings that will outweigh the burdens. 👊🏾
