Blessed Are The Fraudulent or Faithful?

Luke 12:37  “Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.”

Faithfulness is a quality that is very often lacking in the moral fabric of men. It is an interesting attribute in that it requires something that every individual can provide. Anyone can & should be faithful. However, the Scripture says, “a faithful man who can find?” (Proverbs 20:6). It is difficult to find someone who is faithful & who remains faithful. We all know those who seemed to want to be faithful & appeared to be faithful for a while, but in time, they did not keep the charge that was committed to them.

True faithfulness is not something that is demonstrated initially, or even occasionally. A married person who is occasionally unfaithful to his or her spouse is not considered faithful. God intends for us to be faithful until death or until He comes. Our text tells us that there will be a special blessing for those “servants” who remain true to the Lord.

The Scripture says, “Blessed are those servants.” We are God’s servants. We belong to Him & we have committed ourselves to serve Him. We are not to serve our own interests & agendas, but we are to serve our Master, Jesus Christ. How long are we to serve? Until we are no longer excited about serving? Until our bodies are old & aching? We are to serve Him until He comes. THE BLESSED MAN is the servant “whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching.” The Lord Jesus Christ will come again to this earth. We are to serve our Savior until He comes. Have you ever known someone who seemed to be a loyal worker as long as someone was watching over him, or until the supervisor was out of sight? This is not a description of faithful service.

When Jesus comes, or when we go to be with the Lord, will we be found faithful? Those who are faithful will be rewarded. To those He finds watching, the Bible says, “he shall gird himself & make them to sit down to meat & will come forth & serve them.” This blessing is reserved for those who are found faithfully serving Jesus to the end. He will serve those who have been faithful servants. May He find us faithful.

Don't Be A Slippery Saint

“Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them SLIP.” Hebrews‬ ‭2:1‬ ‭
Don’t become a person who is slippin’-n-slidin’, peepin’-n-hidin’.
• Sin in our heart will separate us from the righteousness of God.
• Sin in our heart will cause us to start “slippin” down a slippery slope.
• When we began to “slip”, we already know that our heart is pulling away from God’s will for our life. No one has to tell us. However, people close to us will see it.
• Slippin’ will keep us out of church.
• Slippin’ will cause us to make excuses for our lifestyle, behavior & absences.
• Slippin’ will cause you to want to avoid people who are walking in the faith.
• Slippin’ can happen to anyone who has become distracted with the cares of this life.
~ Don’t be a slippery saint!
~ Get right with God.
~ Do right.
~ Live right.
~ Hold tight to righteousness.
~ Live a sold-out life to God.
~ Quit making excuses for sin & laziness.
~ Line up with the word.
~ Stop frustrating the grace of God.
~ If you mess up. Repent. Pick yourself up & get back to where you know should be.
~ God loves you.
~ He wants more for you & your family.
~ He’s provided a way.
~ Don’t backslide!
~ Don’t let the truth of God’s character slip from your thoughts!

Life Is Good In The Waiting Room

Seems like 1/2 of your life is spent in the #waiting #room.
• A man on my right is yelling at his wife, in front of everyone. He’s angry. She’s embarrassed Another man is giving him a look, as if to say, “dude you better chill.”
• A lady on my left is having a very loud conversation on her cell phone, oblivious that our ears are bleeding.
• The customer service attendant is playing video games, on his phone, & seemed bothered that I am a paying customer...intruding on his leisure time while he’s stealing time from his employer.
• The company is playing 80’s hits over the speakers...so I’m actually thinking about singing out loud & taking over this waiting area.
Life is good in the waiting room. 👊🏽

Remain In His Gravitational Pull

I took this Sunday morning, on my way to church. It was such a beautiful sunrise that I pulled over, on top of the big bridge on Ronald Regan Pkwy & had this stir in my spirit:
“God is like the sun & we are like one of the planets. We can only have our orbit correct if we stay within the gravitational pull.”
I can count on God telling the sun to rise & set each day. The question is, “Can God count on me being where I’m supposed to be?”
I want to live life in such a way that my wife, my children, grandchildren, family & friends know that they can count on me to remain in orbit to God’s gravitational pull. I don’t ever want them to wonder if I’ll be faithful or fruitful as a Christian (FIRST) a husband, parent, leader, pastor, friend, etc.
By God’s grace, my daughter has never had to wonder “Why doesn’t daddy go to church?” Or “Why doesn’t daddy live for God?”
By the grace of God, I never want to cause my family to be burdened with my inability to get my stuff together & LEAD my home spiritually.
For all the men out there, who are running this race called life...REMEMBER who gave you LIFE....Jesus! Don’t ever become too cocky, prideful, arrogant & a “know-it-all” to live this life with your own agenda. You’re not in charge. Jesus is. Each of us will stand before God & give an account for what we did & what we didn’t do. I pray we allow The Holy Spirit to convict us, lead us & draw us to a continual devotional intimacy with Yahweh.
Don’t miss the sunrise, because you have sleep in your eye!
