I Might Sound Old School To Some

I might sound old school to some, but I was taught & trained by people who believe in CONSECRATION. We were taught, when you go out to MINISTER, if you want the ANOINTING of God to be upon you, then you must live a life of CONSECRATION, PRAYER & FASTING. In other words, you couldn't live "any ole' way" outside of the church & then expect God to "ANOINT" you when you were up in front of God's people. I still believe this.
There are so many people walking around with the GIFT but not serving the GIVER.
"GIFTS" aren't enough. You need the ANOINTING.
I've seen people who were incredibly gifted...who can speak, sing, hoop, etc., but have no integrity/character. The Bible speaks about a man named Samson...who used to "shake" himself till the power of God would come upon him. Eventually, PRIDE cost him the ANOINTING on his life because he didn't RESPECT the ANOINTING.
We live in a time where people do whatever they want & say, "Don't be judging me!" Friends, we NEED people in our life that will tell us to GET OUR ACT TOGETHER! We need SPIRITUAL FATHERS to FATHER! We need PASTORS to PASTOR. We need ELDERS to ELD & DEACONS to DEAC!
CONSECRATION is NO JOKE! During COVID-19...we need to CONSECRATE.

Santa's Workshop

As a child, I remember buying cheap Christmas gifts for my family at Santa’s Workshop, when I was in elementary school. (1970’s)

I wrapped every gift & had a warm feeling in my heart to see my family open them up on Christmas morning.

I still have that warm feeling of giving gifts to my family & friends...especially at Christmas.

Over the years, Beverly & I have had seasons where we had much to give as well as seasons where we had little to give. But we always gave something...even if it was a handwritten note or a homemade card that expressed our love to those dear to us. I guess that’s where the phrase, “It’s the thought that counts” matters most.

This Christmas, whether you have a lot or a little, give yourself completely to your family & friends. A smile, a warm hug, a conversation, laughter, something homemade or store bought...your presence is what matters most.

When we are intentional with our giving, we reflect our Heavenly Father, Who was intentional in giving us His only begotten Son. Salvation is FREE to us but rest assured it cost Jesus His life. He gave His best.

The warm feeling of gift giving may feel different, from year to year, but it helps to remember The One Who gave first.

Christmas, to me, is more than presents under a tree, name brands or trends, it’s about JESUS coming to restore what was lost...to redeem mankind & ultimately reconcile us through His death, burial & resurrection.

I love this time of year. The memories, traditions, food, travel, family, togetherness...it still gives me that warm feeling. I pray you are surrounded by family & friends this week & that your heart is filled with peace.

Merry Christmas! Be someone’s gift!

Your Gifts Make Room For You

and bringeth him before great men.”

Stop Prostituting Your Gifts & Talents

pros•ti•tute: put (oneself or one's talents) to an unworthy or corrupt use or purpose for the sake of personal or financial gain.

1. Never prostitute your call (trying to sell your gift to the highest bidder).

2. Never go to a person or a place that is willing to give you big money/offerings, because of your gifts/abilities. ONLY go because it is an assignment by God.

3. Never refuse to go to a place that God is telling you to go, simply because they cannot afford to pay your price, for a gift & calling that you cannot operate without God.

4. Stop feeding your pride by playing on your gifts.

5. The spirit of humility will be one of your greatest assets.

6. As long as you are humble, God will continue to use & elevate you if you are FAITHFUL!

7. You're not entitled or owed anything. You're blessed to even be breathing.

8. Yield, obey, remain humble, accountable & stay under authority.

9. Don't seek recognition by puffing your abilities & testimonies from others, in order to get an engagement or some type of recognition.

10. When you have a Godly fear (reverential fear of the Lord), you'll want to please Him more than yourself.

If you can't do the EASY thing where you are...you'll never be able to handle the HARD thing somewhere else. You must MASTER your flesh, emotions, issues & baggage. God wants to USE you for HIS glory...not yours.
