Foot, Knee or Elbow?

Have you ever heard God speak to you through a foot, a knee or an elbow? No...these body parts are not equipped with the ability to hear or speak. They may be able to FLEX and BEND but they are not a HEARING member.

You need a COVERING.
You need a PASTOR.
You need a SHEPHERD.

When did we become so brazen to believe that we can come & go as we please...do what we want...based on "how we feel"?

Elbows, knees & feet do not speak.

If you've been listening to an elbow, foot or knee give you instruction, counsel or direction...you're going to end up SIDEWAYS with a crooked path in the wrong direction.

God operates in the realm of ORDER. He is not the author of confusion. Your covering can only confirm what God has spoken. But rest assured when God speaks, it will be in order and confusion will not be present.

ALIGNMENT births ANOINTING.

David was in alignment when anointed by Samuel.
Elisha was in alignment when anointed by Elijah.
The disciples were in alignment when anointed by Jesus.

Quit listening to popcorn prophecy form elbows, knees & feet. They can flex their knowledge but they are not a hearing member.

I partially address this in yesterday's 2020 Leadership Video "6 Things Leadership Have Taught Me." I choose to stay up under a covering & remain blessed & blessable.

John 10:2-5  2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

When Honor Goes Up, Blessings Come Down

1. #DearPastor, although it is assumed that you have many job descriptions, your primary one is to FEED, LEAD & VISIONATE! Do what you do best & God will help you staff the rest.

2. #DearPastor, people will complain about WHAT they don’t like & WHO they don’t like ... but don’t let your ear become their dumping ground of complaints & gripes. Keep your ear tuned to the voice of God & tell the naysayers to visit the complaint department located in the volunteer office.

3. #DearPastor, love the people God has entrusted to you. They are the HARVEST you prayed for! Never stop investing, even in the ones who are SEASONAL, but especially in the ones who are AVAILABLE & RECEIVABLE.

4. #DearPastor, life will happen to you just as it happens to your members. Live what you teach. If it's the Truth, it will work for you too.

5. #DearPastor, you're a preacher. But you're first a PERSON, a PARTNER (if married) & a PARENT (if you have kids). Don't get lost in the hustle!

When Your Mind Is Made Up, You Won't Give Up

WISDOM - If you need it, ask God

1. You don't always have to prove your point. Wise onlookers can discern the difference. Your SILENCE speaks volumes.
2. "Wise beyond your years" doesn't mean you're wise. It means you have more wisdom than people your age. Don't stop SEEKING wisdom.
3. It's not wise to expose your loneliness, emptiness, or other vulnerabilities to strangers. You never know if they'll PRAY or PREY.
4. Guard the GATES of your life. Everyone doesn't qualify for ACCESS. Be wise. Don't worry about hurting their feelings. They'll heal.
5. I don't care how STRONG you are in The Lord. You need wise leaders with whom you can decompress.
6. EMOTIONS are thoughts you can feel. So it's not wise to speak everything you feel. Some thoughts should never become words.
7. Speak the TRUTH in LOVE, with gracious, wise & humble words so that no one can confuse it with hate speech, even if they tried.
8. "A wise man will hear & INCREASE understanding..."
9. When people misunderstand you it's not always wise to take the time to EXPLAIN yourself. Some will never get you. They don't want to.
10. One of the main differences between a FOOL & a WISE person is how they process moments of godly correction.

The Blessings In Christ (Part 2)

Your Slip Is Showing

When we stay in continual prayer, bible study, fasting, praise/worship & Christian fellowship...we can bust out of any "funk" that is trying to ensnare us. Your pastor can't do it for you (i.e., spouse, boss, etc.) YOU have to made a decision to RESET your thoughts.

Philippians 4:8 "And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise."

Philippians 4:9 "Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you."

When you RENEW your MIND, you'll RENEW your PASSION for Jesus. However, if you stay focused on everything except HIM...you'll DRIFT further away from your FIRST LOVE all together & be AIMLESS & ENERGYLESS.

STAY FOCUSED so you don't SLIP! Good TEACHING will KEEP you!

Hebrews 2:1 "Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip."

Geography can't fix you.A new this or that can't fix you.Only JESUS can fix you.But you have to let Him.
